Here’s What To Expect From The Brand New BKC

There are many good reasons as to why real estate developers in Mumbai design projects in BKC. One of them is the strong development initiative the MMRDA has taken to allocate Rs. 75 Crores to turn BKC into a smart city. Many proposed developments fall under the ‘smart city plan’. 

Some of them are as follows:

1. Construction of an elevated road extending Santacruz-Chembur Link Road (SCLR) up to Vakola Bridge at Santacruz (east) on Western Express Highway (WEH).

2. A 5-km Kurla-Vakola elevated road will be constructed to assuage excess traffic in the area.

3. Bandra-Kurla Complex will also have Wi-Fi internet connectivity as soon as one enters the area.

4. Hybrid/electric buses will be introduced for a pollution-free and eco-friendly transportation.

5. The work on the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC)-Chunabhatti elevated road connector will be completed in December 2018.
 
For long, BKC was primarily known as Mumbai’s sough-after commercial hub. Renowned conglomerates like TATA Communications, Reliance Industries and Edelweiss Financial Service, is what makes BKC such a prominent commercial hub. So many citizens from all over the country move close to the location as it provided better work opportunities.
 
However, now, there’s a new face of BKC that is being gradually introduced to the people. Today, Mumbaikars can select homes from a new slew of options. From 1 BHK flats in BKC by Omkar Vive to luxurious penthouses, BKC has them all. No wonder it is the rising residential hub of the location.
 
With such developments in the making, the smart move to turn BKC into a residential locale is slowly starting to bear fruits. Another bonus is, long commute shall no longer be a woe for many as this planned development can increase opportunities for people to live close by.
 
This fact also comes across as a big advantage for the real estate sector. It gives many relators a chance to build projects there. Meaning, a project in a location like BKC adds more value to their name. In fact, there’s been a rise in the number of upcoming residential projects in BKC.
