Pros & Cons of Living in Bangalore

Bangalore the silicon valley of India attracts tons of population from different backgrounds & different cities across the country to find a better lifestyle, better employment opportunities or simply to buy property in Bangalore. Whatever be the reason, Bangalore is a welcoming city and is now home to a confluence of cultures and traditions. Pros:

  4. Strong Educational System: In Bangalore, the education system is pretty strong and this leads to the constant availability of an excellent quality workforce. This also helps in campus interviews and talent scouting as universities and colleges are not far from IT centers.
  5. Bangalore has evolved from a raw and fresh city into a mature city, as evidenced by the higher skill level and service options. The city has made certain great achievements that have brought several large funds as foreign investment into the country.

Cons:

  1. The traffic situation is getting worse day by day.
  2. Everything shuts down at 11 pm on a weekday
  3. Unlike other major cities, you cannot avoid the extortionate house rents by living further away, unless you are willing to spend >4 hours traveling each day.
  4. Extremely high road tax on vehicles.
  5. The electricity and power situation is pretty terrible unless you live in a gated and upscale society.

All in all, Bangalore like any other city has its pros & cons. You have to look at the factors that benefit you the most.
